when one gets so bored of what one is doing, one will start to do weird things.. for me, it would be either stoning, daydreaming or observing the actions of the people around me. this is what happened to me during work at Watsons most of the time.. and today, it's observing people! hahaha..
hmmm.. actually, I was stoning at the beginning.. walk up and down my side of the shelves.. up down.. up down.. up down.. mind blank and nothing else. started to go thru a checklist of the things I need to pack for my trip to Cameron Highlands tomorrow.. then it was coming up with some of the possible things I could get for Dear for his LATE bday and our 6th month... and then it was stoning and more stoning.. and I started to observe people around Watons.. hahaha.. it's not as though there were mani mani people in Watsons, but when there is nothing for me to do and I dont wanna look like I'm being paid to stone in Watsons, looking around and "looking" alert is the best way to cover it up.. hahaha.. actually, it's kinda interesting to look at the different people that comes into Watsons.. you will be surprised by the different different things that they will do and blah blah blah.. then you will realise that there are so mani different types of people in the world.. their behaviour, how they dress and everything you can see... sometimes, you cannot help but just wanna laugh at them..
there was this once when a child accidentally bang into a shelf of chocolates, some of the chocolates dropped, but the child did not stop to pick the packets up.. the rest of the people around that area, just stood there and didnt even bother to initiate to help pick the things up. it's their mentality that says that the staffs have to pick up the things.. they are paid anyway.. and it's so so wrong if they pick the things up... sometimes I just dont understand these people.. why cant they help? it's just a small movement which do not require a lot of strength and time.. I can only conclude that we take things for granted too often already. which is not good!
there's another time when I was approached by this old couple.. they were looking for "gan lan you" which is olive oil.. I din exactly know what it is, but initiated to help them look for it when I am just a Nivea promoter in Watsons.. they kept telling me it can be eaten.. and the only olive oil I know that can be eaten, Watsons doesnt carry it! in the end they found it themselves and started complaining about me.. "are you sure you work here, you dont even know what olive oil is and where it is put.." I told them that I am not a Watsons staff and I really felt that it's not my mistake that I dont know what they were looking for and where that thing is placed. but the old man kept standing beside me and kept lecturing me.. saying youngsters nowadays, everything also duno, like that how to work? being a sales personnel, I should know more things, in this way it will benefit me and it reflects better on me. I agree with what he says, but it really depends on what I'm working for.. I mean, if I am a Watsons staff, I'm sure I will be able to help him get his olive oil within seconds.. but the problem is, I only started working at that outlet for like 2 days, and I am suppose to be a Nivea promoter, promoting some Deo and Facial foam, how the hell would I know where the olive oil is placed?!! come on.. it's fine for you all to complain, but please make sure that whatever you are complaining makes sense to the person you are complaining about!!! Singaporeans love to complain but sometimes they complain about the wrong things.. hai~ wake up!!!
there's still lots more to share, but somehow they are just not coming to me now.. shall talk about this topic again when it comes to me.. =)
